The Cotswolds are famous for their typically English landscape of lovely green rolling hills, stone walls, woodland and charming little towns and villages. Many of the buildings are made from sandy yellow Cotswold Stone, making the whole area highly attractive.

It’s no wonder the area attracts around 38 million visitors each year. The De Vere Cotswold Water Park is a contemporary resort hotel set by a lake in a nature reserve which has stunning views over water and is a haven for many a moorhen and swan.

It boasts 328 bedrooms with a wide choice of accommodation, some rooms with balconies, some with terraces. You can choose from standard doubles or deluxe doubles, all with water views. Two of the four suites have wonderfully sybaritic bathrooms; two have impressive balconies. In addition, there’s a range of self-catering apartments (Sainsbury’s down the road offers deliveries).

There are two restaurants, an outdoor summer coffee bar, a spa, and a host of walking trails to enjoy as well as nearby water sports.

Location
Set among a vast expanse of lakes, rivers, woodland, and open countryside, the Cotswold Water Park offers an extensive range of varied leisure activities. Whether you like adrenalin-fuelled water sports or something a little gentler, you are sure to find it here.

With over 100 lakes at the Water Park, you can enjoy everything from canoeing, kayaking and sailing, to wakeboarding, water-skiing, and windsurfing. If you prefer to keep your feet on dry land, take a leisurely walk or hike, go horseback riding or cycling, or even sign up for a guided tour.

Discover the Nature Reserves of Cotswold Water Park
Observe the variety of wildlife that the Cotswold Water Park has to offer at one of its many nature reserves. Go wildlife spotting and bird watching or just take a wander around the beautiful reserves, which provide a protective haven for the animals that call the park home.

First Impressions
On arrival what you see are attractive sleek and modern buildings with timber cladding and Cotswold stone. What makes these buildings so appealing are the balconies and decking which overlook the lake. You can just imagine yourself sitting of a morning with a hot cup of coffee or of an evening with your choice of tipple.

The reception is also sleek and welcoming which opens up into a bar area which then leads into the Brasserie restaurant. This is also where guests enjoy breakfast. This area also houses the spa and many private rooms for conferences and weddings.

Take a short walk to the Old Boathouse restaurant and the Muddy Duck coffee bar. As you can see, plenty of options for dining and coffee.

What guests say…
Wonderful family staycation. Upgraded from a double room to a family 1 bed apartment with lake views, very reasonable. Apartment was ideal for travel with a toddler, safe to play and designed to a high standard. We had a lake view with balcony calm and quiet. Staff were so helpful. Breakfast was top notch. We had drinks in bar too. All so clean and top spec. On site we did many walks locally around the lakes, met swans and enjoyed nature. We had day trips in car and great location as a base. Highly recommended

This is a truly amazing place. The rooms are lovely, clean and immaculate. The staff are friendly and professional, nothing is too much trouble. Especially the reception staff. We used the Spa. It’s absolutely beautiful. The location surrounding the lake is beautiful too. There was a wedding while we were there, and the room looked truly dreamlike.
