We recently had the pleasure of enjoying the new Brother Thai burger at Honest Burger in Cardiff, a very cool and spicy collaboration between the two companies. You may have read Jennifer’s earlier Honest review on her www.Life-Styled.co.uk website. This time, intrigued by the Thai influence, we thought we’d head for Church Street again.
You can read about our experience here on our City Life Cardiff website. Suffice to say, this was an extremely enjoyable family meal out. I’ve always loved their Cardiff Burger but the Brother Thai was a really lovely departure from the tried and trusted.
This cheeky little far eastern number is served with Honest’s homemade rosemary salted chips as standard and comes in at an affordable £13.50 (£1 more if you oder with Deliveroo). The absolute star of the evening (other than the Brother Thai) is the gravy – it is just the best. When you’re just finishing off all those lovely crispy bits of rosemary fries with a dunk in the gravy, you’re basically in food heaven.
Honest is nothing but consistent across all its restaurants and even harder to maintain that in these difficult times (we’ve all heard about the challenges keeping or recruituing staff in the hospitality and food sectors).
Hats off to Honest, they delivered very fine burgers yet again and it was great to see the restaurant busy, and staff clearly relishing the fact. As always, we’re #Clapping
